He had an epileptic attack while ferrying passengers

Two traffic policemen, who saved a cab driver suffering from epileptic attack on a busy road while ferrying passengers, were felicitated on Saturday by the Police Commissioner.

Recently, Yogesh Kumar, driver of an app-based aggregator, picked up a few passengers near KSR-City railway station.

Epileptic attack

As he approached the exit gate of the station, he suffered an epileptic attack and lost control over the car. He rammed the car on a road divider.

Constable Yogesh and head constable Rame Gowda, attached to Chickpet traffic police station, were on duty at the time. When they approached the car, they found the driver frothing at the mouth. While Mr. Gowda started clearing the traffic pile-up, Yogesh drove the cab to the hospital.

Appreciating their timely action, Police Commissioner T. Suneel Kumar felicitated the constables and awarded them Rs. 5,000 each.

“Mr. Kumar was admitted to the emergency ward for treatment. The police alerted his family. The doctors said that timely action saved his life,” a police officer said.
