The museum would also exhibit models of thatched homestead of the Tamils and a replica of the thousand-year-old Thanjavur Big Temple.

Objects used in worship, sports and lifestyle, transportation, teaching and learning, artefacts, sports equipment, musical instruments, cloth materials, agriculture implements, tools and weapons, traditional foodgrains and earthen containers were being collected, he said.
